Because I need to take a few more pictures of things I bought in Victoria before I blog about it, and because I got our wedding pictures in the mail from Caryn, I thought I’d finally finish up the wedding blogging first. Here are some great shots she took at our rehearsal dinner. She actually took many more, but this is a representative sample of one very important element to the rehearsal, me handing out socks that I knit to the wedding party.
Here I am trying to balance the bags:
Helen’s socks: Trilobite socks, pattern by Wendy Johnson, in Sundara sock colorway Crushed Cherries. Cause she loves red so much…
Marcie’s socks: RPM from Knitty in Noro Kureyon sock, multi-colored but including green which is her favorite color.
My sister socks: Heart and flower socks by Wendy Johnson, yarn is Numma Numma doppio in the colorway Simply Red. You can’t see how red these socks are in this black and white pic, but you can see how adorable my sister is.
My brother’s socks: Cauchy socks by Cookie A in Madelinetosh sock colorway Thunderstorm. Darren likes this colorway so much that I bought another skein of it in Seattle.
Lori’s socks: among my favorite socks that I’ve ever knit are Lori’s, Spring Forward in String Theory Caper sock, colorway Vert. These are the most loved socks on my Ravelry page as well (9 loves). And caper sock is a lovely merino cashmere blend that is a joy to knit with.
And I couldn’t let the evening pass without showing you a sample of one of the amazing necklaces that my friend Sam made for our wedding party. She is uber talented.
I’ve now got 600 wedding pictures to sort through, but I will choose a few and put together a wedding day post soon!
