I mean, I know I was there. There are lots of pictures to prove it. But how much can one really remember about their wedding day?
Well, I know I was knitting socks…
These are “vanilla” socks in Vesper self-striping colorway Neopolitan. I love the short colored stripes in this sock yarn. I bought another 3 skeins in different colorways and plan to always have a pair around for mindless sock knitting.
I know I got dressed…
And then people just told me where to go…
I stood under this gorgeous chuppah that I knit
We had a twitter feed going on before the ceremony and during the reception for people to send their well wishes
We updated our facebook status to “married” during the ceremony
Cory did a reading
Danalyn worked her officiant magic while the stuffed meeples and our friends and family watched
Darren broke a glass
And, tah dah! We were married!
Then the party got started! We had a fabulous carcassonne cake complete with wedding meeples
We had a first dance…
A horah to Hava Nagila
There were wedding dice in our colors: purple and red
Decorated RSVP cards
And I danced all night long in my handknit wedding socks, something blue!
My friend Rachel also wore her bridesmaid handknit socks
We danced until late into the night…
And the next morning, we mailed our wedding certificate. We are officially married!
I really enjoyed my wedding day! We had a lot of fun with little board game themed details, and I loved all the knitting I was able to do for the wedding. It was really a wedding that was perfect for us. I wouldn’t change a thing!
